Here is your life back
Jesus heals an official’s son. - John 4: 46-54

The story ends with a ripple effect: the father believed, and so did his entire household. The miracle did not stop with one healed child. It changed a family.

John uses the word zóé, which means life in its fullest sense. Not survival. Not just biological existence.

Abundant, meaningful, restored life.

Here is your life back.

Not so you can rush through it or treat it carelessly. Not so you can live in constant anxiety about losing it.

But so you can live it well.

The boy who was healed would grow up and he would still face challenges. His body would still be temporary. But now his life was marked by encounter; by grace.

And so is yours.

Jesus doesn’t restore us to resume old patterns, but to step into something deeper. A richer trust. A clearer purpose. A stronger hope.

If Christ has handed your life back to you - and he has - how will you live it?

Where is he inviting you to follow more closely? To forgive more freely? To serve more boldly? To love more generously?

The miracle’s invitation is not simply to be amazed; it is to live differently.

Lord Jesus, thank you for the gift of abundant life. Help me live the life you have restored to me with courage, faith, and joy, today and always. Amen.
