Human Trafficking:  “Modern-day slavery by recruiting, transporting and harboring persons by force or deception for the purpose of exploitation.”

Traffickers take advantage of vulnerable persons with false promises or physical abduction, forcing them into contract slavery, forced labor and sexual trafficking.  Human trafficking is the second largest criminal industry in the world.  Unfortunately, events like the Super Bowl can escalate demand for trafficking in persons for labor and sexual exploitation.  The United Methodist Women (UMW) as a group wants to help stop trafficking, especially of women and children.  So we are offering this pancake breakfast at this time.

Any questions can be directed to Marlene Cavaiola or Beth Meserve.
