Potato Drop April 1

On Saturday, April 1, an 18-wheeler will drop 45,000 pounds of potatoes in our parking lot and we will re-bag and distribute them to local food banks and pantries, shelters, schools and individuals in need.

Some jobs require lifting and others do not. We need volunteers to make netting bags ahead of time, set up the parking lot and workspace in Gallihugh Hall, unload potato sacks from the truck, transport them to Gallihugh Hall, sort and rebag potatoes, deliver the bags to cars, and help clean up.

Click here to go to the Sign-Up Genius online or sign up after the services on Sunday to be one of the 50+ volunteers needed.

If you or your organization would like to receive potatoes, please contact Jim Jochems (below).
