Missions Update – The Czech Team Arrived Safely!

The Czech Republic Mission team arrived safely at Poust today. Poust is a camp facility owned by the Czech Methodist Church. “Poust” means desert in Czech. The facility includes a small monestary building that is several hundred years old. For those wishing to locate the team on a map, Poust is just outside the town of Bechyne, which is about 2 hours south of Prague by car. The team will be working at the youth camp at Poust this week with their host pastor, Milan Mrazek. Many of you may remember Milan from his visit here last year.

Below is their first update.

Hello Friends,

We made it! We had zero hitches in our trip on the way here. Our bags were even the first out on baggage claim. We were met at the airport by one of Pastor Milan’s close friends, Tomas, who then drove us to Poust where we will spend the next week. When we arrived it was good to see old friends and meet some new faces. I even met another girl here who interned in Atlanta for a time. (She’s a braves fan). It was especially nice to see Milan and his family. Tonight we enjoyed some icebreaker games. Now the team is going to sleep well as we are all exhausted. We feel all the love and prayers from our church family, and even though we are far away God keeps us connected.

In the grip of grace,
Nick Other
