Missions Update – Canton Team Update 2

Below is the Tuesday update from the Canton Mission Team.

Canton Update 3

We had another great day in Louisville framing. Both houses have made a lot of progress. One house has completed all wall framing, closets, basement stairs and the porch roof frame. The second house lifted all the exterior walls and a few internal walls. A small crew will return on Wednesday to finish framing this house. Victoria’s fiance Luke was able to take the day off from his work and be at the site today as well. It was great to hear their dreams for their new home together.

The Restore team was just as busy today. They dusted half of the furniture in the HFH Restore!

After we got back to camp, seven “guys” ventured into Canton for a visit to the Football Hall of Fame to celebrate Jacob’s 16th birthday. The rest of the team rested in a variety of ways until dinner.

Dinner was GREAT!!! Fried chicken, mashed “taters”, bean greens, biscuits and a spectacular blueberry cobbler.

The rest of the group’s evening concluded with devotions, singing and sharing reflections on our day prior to getting our Wednesday assignments. We had no rain today but we are seeing the temperature dropping into the low 50’s overnight.

We had a very tired (and sore) team tonight…..signs of our efforts today.

Your prayers are felt by each of us each day as we go forth to serve others in Jesus’ name.
