CrossWalk Wednesday Fellowship News

CrossWalk is Sterling United Methodist Church’s mid-week fellowship.  A catered meal is served at 6:00 PM with Bible studies and other activities starting at 7:00 PM.

Wednesday Night Schedule:

  • 6:00 PM – Family Fellowship Meal
  •  7:00 PM  JAM Children’s Ministry, LifeSigns Youth Study, Adult Bible Studies, Aldersgate Choir, The Master’s Crafters, Amigos Bible Study, Young Adults Study

Free nursery care is available starting at 6:45 PM for CrossWalk participants. The meals are catered by the CrossWalk meal team and Monroe Vocational School.   The menu changes weekly and will include a main course, side dish, salad and dessert. The suggested donation for meals is:

  •  $6 for adults
  • $4 for children
  • $18 maximum per family

Crosswalk Bible Studies – Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:00 PM

From September 16- October 14, our study groups will be participating in the all-church study and sermon series “Enough”, based on the book of the same title by Adam Hamilton.  For more details about the sermon and study series, click here.

Study topics for the rest of the fall will be announce in October.  Study groups include:

 Youth Bible Study

YouthBibleStudy LifeSigns Youth Bible Study:  Topical Bible Study, discussion and conversations relating the Bible to our lives. Open to all youth in grades 6-12 on Wednesday evening during CrossWalk.

 Children’s Activities

JAM edited Replacing LifeSigns Jr. is J.A.M. (Jesus And Me) children’s ministry program for children age 2 years to 5th grade.  We are a part of  CrossWalk Wednesday Fellowship, and meet from 7:00-8:00 PM  starting September 16.  For information, contact Michelle Caldrone at .


Aldersgate Adult Vocal Choir

  • Adult vocal choir
  • Rehearsals from 7:00-8:30 PM
  • Leads worship Sunday mornings at 9:30 throughout the school year.

The Aldersgate choir participates in  several other musical offerings throughout the year such as performing cantatas, singing at assisted living facilities and offering praise at the veteran’s memorial on Memorial Day.

Master’s Crafters

SUMC-MastersCrafters Our Master’s crafters meet every Wednesday evening from January to November for fellowship and to work on crafts for their November craft sale. The crafters hold a large craft sale every fall to raise money for unbudgeted items the church needs. In recent years the crafters have purchased many items for the church, including tables and chairs, cabinets, and even a new freezer.  Join this vital ministry,  learn some new skills, and enjoy an evening of laughter and fun!
