Backpack Buddies

We currently support Rolling Ridge Elementary by packing 110 bags of food on the third Thursday of every month. We are pleased to announce that as of January 2013, we are also supporting Sterling Elementary! We will start by packing an extra 40 bags on our current pack night. So with all that being said, we are asking that you keep our program in mind while doing your grocery shopping. Currently our backpacks are filled with ready to eat meals, milk boxes, juice boxes, individual cereal boxes, applesauce cups, fruit cups and cereal or granola bars. Here is another food for thought… it costs a little over $7.00 to fill a bag. If you would like to support our program with a financial contribution, you can do so by making a check out to the church and writing “Backpack Buddies” in the memo line.

 

We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our church family. We are blessed every month with donations and wonderful volunteers who keep this program running smoothly. We thank you all for your continued support of this wonderful mission!
